Connecting at the Chapel of Christian Faith
Let’s Connect
What does it look like to get connected at the chapel ?
We know that just showing up to a service is not the full experience of what it means to be a part of a church. Instead, God wants our lives deeply connected to one another and to him, and we live that out through a few different facets of his Church.
Being connected involves relationships and ministry.
“Am I known by others and do I know them in relationship ?”
Strong relationships are built through both formal church-led events as well as informal connections and life-on-life discipleship.
“Am I involved in the ministry of the church ? “
Connection happens through engaging in the actual ministry opportunities of the church: participating in ministries and finding places to serve.
What are ways you can start connecting in relationship and ministry? We would love to help you connect through community, serving, and being equipped.
Building Relationships with God and Others
Honoring God in all we do…
COMMUNITY
Community with other believers is one of the most special things on earth. In fact, Jesus told us that is how the watching world will know that we belong to him (John 13:35). While there are too many ways to list how members can develop relationships with one another at the Chapel, we have intentionally developed a few ways that you can specifically get and stay connected with others in intimate spiritual community:
BIBLE STUDY
Both men’s and women’s Bible studies happen throughout the week so that we can engage deeply with God’s Word as we engage with one another. More details about time and location of these groups can be found on the News/Events Page or on our Church Calendar.
SERVING
Self-sacrifice is a key marker of the life of every Christian. It is what Jesus modeled for us and what he empowers us to do for his glory. But he also says that it is how we find long-lasting joy in him. Jesus taught, “whoever loses his life for my sake will find it” (Matt. 16:25). That is why it is important that every believer finds places where they can give their life away for God’s glory and the good of others. In order to help those who are a part of the Chapel find a place to serve, we have ministries devoted to finding out more about all the opportunities there are to serve within the church.
BEING EQUIPPED
God gave his church teachers and shepherds “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12). And there are many opportunities to find this equipping at the Chapel. Through classes, forums, and events, we want those who are a part of our church family growing and being equipped for their life’s ministry to both fellow believers and to the outside world.
To find out opportunities to be equipped, check out our Events calendar where you can see various opportunities that relate to you and how you can be trained for the inner growth and outward effectiveness God has for you.
